Not sure if this is a bug or my pethetic coding sills. I created a simple HTML page with a text box for the sole purpose of pasting text to be read by A.T.R. But the selected text is ignored by the read and I don't know why. Here is the relevant code:
<CENTER> <P STYLE="margin-bottom: 0in">Enter your text below </P> <textarea rows="58" cols="120">
</textarea> </CENTER>
Any suggestions?

ATR extracts a node's text content, by:
text = $(element).clone().find("script,style").remove().end().text();
This does not extract property values, eg:
<input value="this is not visible by ATR">this is visible by ATR</input>
With one line of JS you may move the text from your textarea's `value` to the proper text node, hence making it visible to ATR.
